|Print Education & Research Foundation|
The mission of the Print Education & Research Foundation is to provide research and education for the business document and related communications segment of the Printing Industry.
The PERF Board of Trustees looks to identify and undertake projects to move the print industry forward. Each year the PERF board works with PSDA to identify projects and opportunities to further this goal. Any comments or suggestions from the membership are welcome and encouraged.
History of the Print Education & Research Foundation
In 1987, 53 IBFI* manufacturer and supplier members contributed funds to form the independent, non-profit IBFI Foundation. The Foundation's purpose was to provide education and research for the forms, document and information management industry. The Foundation was governed by its own Board of Directors and administrative functions were performed by IBFI.
In 2002, IBFI/IADT dissolved and IADT members were encouraged to join DMIA – the remaining forms industry association. The Foundation retained its existing 2002 Board of Directors and administrative functions were transferred to DMIA. In 2003, the Foundation name changed to the Print Education and Research Foundation, since identification with IBFI was no longer appropriate.
*IBFI is the International Business Forms Industries and was later renamed International Association of Document Technologies – IADT.
