Recertification
CDC recertification, while not mandatory, is recommended every three years
in order to stay current with today’s industry advances and trends. To recertify
your CDC credentials, 75 qualifying points are required. Points are earned
through active participation in industry events, associations and education.

To recertify your CDC accreditation, download the Recertification Application and Participation Record and return it to PSDA at 433 East Monroe Avenue, Alexandria, VA 22301. Forms must be completed in their entirety and include validation by a supervisor or company principal.
Recertification Rules
- Candidates are required to accumulate a total of 75 points within a three-year timeframe to qualify for recertification.
- Candidates will be notified in writing and have their application returned in the event that the activities submitted fail to qualify for recertification points. Candidates will then have the option to resubmit a qualifying Recertification Application. The qualifying activity submitted on a Recertification Application can be used once. This activity can be resubmitted only if the candidate fails to qualify on a previous submission.
- Candidates must be currently employed in a function that involves sales, customer support, procurement, design, management, or manufacture of forms or other approved qualifying positions in the graphic arts/print distribution industry. A minimum of two years industry experience is required.
While PSDA no longer offers a CFC certification, individuals holding a CFC certification may continue using the CFC designation. Anyone who has passed the CFC exam after 1997 may elect to automatically use the CDC designation in its place. Anyone who passed the CFC exam prior to 1997 must apply for recertification to use the CDC designation.
