Why has the P2P in-person event been canceled?


While planning the P2P through the coronavirus crisis, PSDA prioritized member, attendee, and partner health and safety. After much review, dialogue with key stakeholders and considerable evaluation of this public health crisis, the PSDA Board of Directors has made the decision to cancel our in-person event in Chicago, Illinois and move to a fully virtual experience.


Why did you wait to communicate this decision?


The COVID-19 pandemic is an evolving situation and states across the country are in different phases of reopening. We have been watching closely to understand the risks for travelers to and from Illinois and restrictions on mass gatherings with optimistic hopes that an in-person event would be possible this year. When it became evident that it is not in the best interest of our community to gather in-person this fall, we worked quickly to transition the event.


What are the dates of P2P 2020: Plugged In?


P2P 2020: Plugged In will take place online, October 14-16, 2020. 


What if I already booked my flight and travel arrangements?


You should contact those companies to understand their policies and whether flights can be transferred and what penalty fees, if any, may apply.

What will the virtual experience be like?


During the week that we would have met in Chicago, P2P 2020: Plugged In will offer a full line-up of live and pre-recorded sessions for virtual conference attendees on the same days. There will be keynotes, education sessions, and networking. Attendees will be able to chat in real-time with other attendees, speakers, exhibitors, sponsors, and PSDA staff. A virtual solutions showcase will also be available so that attendees can learn about the latest innovations, products, services and resources.
